to Fred J, I do agree with you that a player should have more than just note
accuracy and some phrasing. Studied with CN for a while, a funny guy, one
time he had the whole studio go out to lunch and when I got there he had tied
all the mozzerela sticks to the hellium balloons in the restaurant, and had
them floating around the place. They looked like floating turds! It was a
gas!!!!! I did however want a more orchestral training, so I did switch, and
was very happy about that move. He still remains very friendly with me when I
do see him, and holds nothing against me. He is a good guy and the fastest
player on ANY instrument!! It is frightening. I have heard both good and bad
from Shif. so I don't always think he is so consistent. I think he is
switching his equiptment from what I've heard. Ca in DC
