Dan,
While I don't remember the details of the current contract, apparently they've
paid off the bills, restructured the governing board, and hired a very fine
young Musical Director, Jung Ho Pak, who also replaced Daniel Lewis this year
as conductor of the University of Southern California Symphony. I had the
privilege of meeting and working with Jung Ho when he was the conductor of the
International Symphony Orchestra at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in Idyllwild,
California and I was the school's director of development. He may also still
have an appointment with Cal Berkeley's orchestra. He's an amazing talent and
I'm sure that one of these days we'll be seeing him as musical director of one
of the major symphonies.

p.s. Jung Ho also began his musical career as a clarinetist!!
