While waiting around at New England Conservatory a month or so ago I got
treated to a practice session involving a young lady working on a
concerto for recorder for her recital (I don't know the name of the
piece) in one of the halls. I had no idea of the beauty and complexities
of that "easy looking instrument". I have respect for that instrument
now!
