were flat to the tuner. I am sorry for the misunderstanding. If this is
the case and you have checked the instructions that came with the tuner
concerning
calibration and it is calibrated to A=440(if that is the pitch you are
striving for) then I would agree that your tuner is defective. The
calibration of the tuner could be faulty. If you have only owned the tuner
for a couple of weeks you could return it to where you bought it for a
replacement. You could even return it for a different make or model. If you
have owned it longer than a couple of weeks, every tuner comes with at
least a one year warranty and the instructions will tell you where to return
it for repair. They will usually not repair the unit, but send you a new
one.
The problem you are having with your tuner is not common, so chances are the
replacement would work properly.
