Our orchestra is currently preparing an "Around The World In Eighty Days"
program. We only have three clarinets in the section and there are parts
for all three soprano clarinets; bass clarinet, soprano, alto, tenor and
bari saxes. The three of us are covering all parts. On the first
rehearsal, we arrived very early to set-up. Needless to say, we used a lot
of space, which crowded some of the other players. They whined and
complained until they heard us play. Our section has suddenly gained a
little more respect. We are really enjoying ourselves right now.
