Yes, and my previous post is a prime example of such paranoia.
BTW, when I posted the pitch list, it was fully attributed. Whether the
original writer has a reaction or not I don't know. All I know is that
I fully attributed a documented source of information, often no
differently than the best I can do when I lecture students.
And FWIW, I have been plagiarized by a key physician (department
chairman), while doing research in a medical school and it was covered
up by the Dean, with my (feeling pressured) consent. My choice was
losing a research job and litigating then trying to get back into
academia. So, I'm not altogether insensitive to plagiarism nor
inexperienced with it.
