True, but if Sherman was alive today, he would have not introduced the song
by posting it on the Internet. If the original post was stolen material that
the author planned to publish or record, then the original postperson(?)
should be liable. But overzealous censorship, with too many what ifs, will
just lead to paranoia, and no one willing to post such things. This would
cause damage to the free flow of ideas and humor on the net. Again, we are
not talking about a large block of original work, just a little parody.
