i disagree..........one should be able to discuss any aspect of playing
their clarinet.......whether it be wind ensemble.....marching band.....solo
contest......isnt the idea that you PLAY........

are you going to tell a student whos only school choice is marching
band.......their being no other group........that they cannot participate in
the list.....

everything affects everything.....how we view life music.......how we view
history affects how we play......

if professionals choose to not be involved becuz the list doesnt not focus
solely on the tecnical aspect of playing then let them go away........their
world is too small to bother with including them on this list........

good grief......if life was made up of only what something should or
shouldnt be about.....we all be pretty pathetic.......

sure someone may not be as interested in the discussion at all times....but
its the appreciation you gain from learning how others experiences shapes
their learning in order to shape yours....
