Roger, if you were to move the thumbrest above the index finger, it
would cause one to stretch more. However, if you leave it equal to, or
slightly below, the index finger, the stress is
lessened. This didn't seem right to me at first, but after some
experimentation, I realised that
raising the thumbrest by about 3/8" took some pressure off of the elbow.
