Hello all,
I've been on this list for a few months now, enjoying all the discussions.
(just a quick intro) I'm from north of Dallas, Texas, and my school is
getting ready to play the musical West Side Story. Having Reed Book 2, I am
responsible for the Eb clarinet part. Unfortunately, my school does not own
an Eb, and nor do any of the local music stores. I would love to purchase my
own, but I don't exactly have the funds. Does anyone from this area know
where I could rent one, and rent one fast??
Another question, in the Eb part (which I will probably have to transpose to
Bb) there are two glissandos. The first is from a third space C to....a C and
octave higher...I think. The second is much tougher, an F on top of the staff
to a high G. I am so lost on how to do these. Any suggestions will be
greatly appreciated. Thanks!
