If you look at the "traditional" placement of the thumb rest you will see that
the thumb position is about just between the second and third finger, a very
unnatural position. If you let your hands rest naturally in the "no stress"
position your thumb will probably be in line with the index finger or between
the index finger and the middle finger. I found that moving the thumb rest up
made a big difference in the pain I experienced. And if it hurts, it's probably
hurting you.
