Hi, Susan.
Try a coaching session or two with a *good* voice teacher. Seriously, it
can work wonders. Singers are generally more body aware than wind players,
as the teaching of singing stresses an awareness of one's body far more
than I have found in my formal clarinet study.
Give it a shot -- it can't hurt, and I bet it will help quite a bit.
