Slow practice. Anything you can do slowly and evenly you can eventually do
slightly faster evenly. Anything you can do slightly faster from one week or
month or year to the next will eventually reach whatever your personal top
speed is. For some reason the brain needs to learn evenness first, then
speed, never the other way around. At least that's what I learned from
fifteen years of playing the piano.
