Here is part of a post I sent to the list a couple of weeks ago -- I have
some suggestions that others have not brought up:

Add to that something I always do on nasty rapid passages: instead of even
notes, *intentionally* play unevenly, in a dooted eighth and sixteenth
pattern, while incrementing the metranome.
To add to another's post about taking a week off, you should always take
at least one day off a week.
