Craig,
If are experiencing an intonation problem only with the G,A & Bb, this
can be caused by improper key height for the F# ring and D ring. Also there
may be wood chips from manufacture in the tone holes. >>

Here is another tip! Try the clarinet with another mouthpiece. I have in my
possession right now, a mouthpiece which is excellent in every way EXCEPT for
very flat throat tones, Bb and A primarily. A thorough inspection of the
mouthpiece shows that the bore (or as some people call it, the cone) of the
mouthpiece was nearly 1 millimeter longer than my other mouthpieces. This
results in a sudden dip in pitch for the notes produced high up on the bore of
the clarinet.

Using a 64 mm barrel removes this problem and restores the clarinet to its
correct proportions, and it tunes at 440/441 easily.

This had me baffled for a bit. At first I blamed the reed, then tested the
clarinet.
