After the Toronto Symphony was in Vienna in 1974, I came back with one
of those little instruments. It had a very sweet tone,was easy to play
and one could easily play up to high G, which, I believe was like high C
in sound. Of course, the bore was small, making it easier for the high
notes to come out easily.
