This is an interesting thread. My wife has a beautiful, very, very old
tuning fork that is nestled in a hand made chest (very small - for over the
mantle) that was imported from Europe - along with a very, very, very old
Bible. I believe the Bible dates from the 1600's, but I can't remember. I
know the tuning fork is not A440, but rather, it is a different pitch. I
will go home tonight and, if I remember to look, will post the pitch that
is labeled on the fork.
