When I first started playing Eb soprano clarinet a few years ago, I was
squeaking. This was so weird and offensive to me because I almost never squeak
on other clarinets. I found that I was inadvertently opening the right hand Bb
trill key just enough to cause the problem. As you know, the keys on the eefer
are extremely close together. I had to learn to realign my hands on that
instrument to avoid the squeaking.

Is it possible that a key on your clarinet is being opened just enough to
cause squeaking? This could be because you are brushing the key or the spring
holding the key down is too weak to handle the pressure of the airstream you
are sending down the clarinet.
