how to care for it and if I can use my
present ligature. I play on a Bb Pete
Fountain Leblanc Clarinet with the
ligature with which it came (Metal). I
would appriciate any help I could
recieve on this issue.

Nick: A good (and inexpensive --- $10)
ligature is made and sold by Luybens in
Kansas City, MO. Web address:
www.luybenmusic.com. The ligature is
soft plastic, so it grips the crystal
well, and even comes in different
colors; I'd suggest their "clear" color
as a good match for your mouthpiece.
