To all on the list who offered suggestions:
Checked a pawn shop with a lot of musical instruments, but alas, no clarinet!
Also want-ads. Finally decided that what I wanted was a horn to stand the
abuse of travel, weather changes, travel in lots of different climates, etc.
Tried several models of plastic, and was amazed at the variations among them.
Settled on the Yamaha, and tried 3 before picking the one I wanted. A
condensed version of what I went through in picking out my R-13. I was
surprised there was so much variation among plastic in the same model. I
expected the differences in wood; I thought plastic was much more uniform in
production. My setup with this horn is the following: Roger Garrett's
mouthpiece (D facing); Optimum ligature, with #2 plate; and Tom Ridenour's
hand finished, hand graded reeds. I think this horm will do nicely for what I
want.

Thanks again to all on the list who gave me advice and guidance.
