Uh, I had meant Mark Bradly not Mark Charette, who is just slightly
misguided (lol). I guess you could say I missed the Mark.

I really did understand your point of view, but hoped the article by the
Dessys' (who sent me a very nice email by the way) may have brought you over
to my side, in particular the discription of what occurs in wood when it is
humidified (which showed the errors in the paper you had mentioned). My
frustration over the other post (MB's) was because it was the usual, I never
did it and my instrument's fine, catagory, combined with the, a very smart
man without any real hard evidence said so catagory.

Have to go now. Off to the car wash to pick up a new clarinet!

Steve - I presented evidence that was in opposition to yours - but never
said (to my recollection) not to oil the clarinet....

You seem to have missed the whole point of my discussion..... "well-known
fact".
