Subj: [kl] Selling a clarinet..

Fellow Klarinetists,
I have offered to help a friend sell her father's Selmer clarinet, vintage
1915, Rosewood, silver keys. It is in very good condition (her father
played it in college but gave it up for the saxaphone), very playable
(hampered by a not too thorough refurbishing) and quite in tune. The sound
is light, but very even over the entire range, and nothing seemed so bad
that a competant repair person wouldn't be able to mitigate.
My freind's original asking price was $500, before she knew about the
silver keys, a price that seemed reasonable to me. What (if anything)
should I add for the siver mechanism (it's been a while since I priced
horns, but I know it can be several hundred for a new one...)?
Thanks.
-Bruce
