If you are talking about bore oil, you only need to oil the bore approx.
every 6-8 months, this also depends where you live. If you live in a
cold climate you may have to oil more often. You can purchase a wood
clarinet maintenance kit. It comes with bore oil and swab. You only
need a few drops on the swab and run the swab back and forth in each section
of the instrument. Every year put a few drops on a soft cloth and wipe
the outside of the instrument..
