Hmmm... My "Class Voice" teacher in college grasped the second/third
button on anyone's shirt who wasn't standing correctly and said "This has
to point to the ceiling." She targeted males and females both and to
this day, the picture is so vivid, I think about it every time I stand to
sing! I never considered that demonstration inappropriate but I guess I
should have. Another technique may not have been nearly as effective,
though, You never know. Of course, she didn't like my singing voice...
