I have had mine since the beginning of the school year in August, and love
it. For me, it makes more reeds playable than my Rovner, or Winslow
ligatures. I also like the first plate (the one that looks like a Ruffles
potato chip) plays the best for me.
Give it a try, I think you'll like it.
