Jean asked about the Vandoren optimum ligature. I just got one this past
weekend. I love it. It's made a huge difference in my playing, IMHO (and my
husband's, who had to listen to me try out A LOT of different ligatures and
reeds that afternoon!). (I hope my instructor agrees. The 3 different plates
play as advertised. BTW, I play an R-13 with a Gigliotti mouthpiece, P
facing, and Tom Ridenour's hand finished, hand graded reeds.
