Ryan,
Just a note of caution- some recruiters are very clear and explain exactly what you would be getting into, others aren't. Make very sure if you do enlist that everything that was suggested or promised is in that document. If it isn't there you're stuck. The most common thing to happen is that someone will be told that there is a band in State Z and they could go there. Unless it specifically says that your duty station WILL be State Z then it may be a possibility but you'll be detailed (given orders) according to the needs of the Marine Corps which may or may not coincide with your needs or wants. This isn't said to discourage you should that be the route you choose- just make sure whatever the decision it is made wisely.
