As a father of a clarinetist who's been auditioning all month for
schools :^), I've learned of a few strong schools (there's more - these
are just the ones I'm personally acquainted with):

Along with Northwestern, there's DePaul, USC, Eastman, New England
Conservatory, Curtis, Univ. of Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana,
Cincinnati, Cleveland Inst. of Music, Peabody no, he didn't apply to
_all_ of those, but we looked hard at each one).

All except USC (Gilad teaches there) are on East Coast of the US -
because I live in the area. There's a host of other schools in the South
and West, but geographically the East coast makes more sense for us.

Cheers,
----
