A recent recital I performed in (I also instigated it) with two very
outstanding musicians (piano and soprano) has prodded me to to at long last
1) pursue my music passion, and 2) to finally make a career change from
architecture into something involving software (I have spent many years in
architecture wishing I were spending the time at the computer, and doing as
much on the computer as possible...). I have done coursework (and self
teaching) in Visual Basic, and will be taking an Access class this month.
So, I would love to hear from any of you who support your clarinet and
music habit through work in the computer industry (preferably in the
software and development end of things, where I foresee myself being in a
few years).
Thanks in advance!! (E-mail me privately if you feel the discussion
would not be of general interest.)
(BTW, the recital was of recent 20th C. works, and one was a premiere
(not a Shepherd to be heard!).)
