13 mm looks like the tip measurement of the Bb reeds that I make. I'll
second the suggestion of those who suggest playing Bb reeds and cutting
them shorter. Also, narrow the sides of the reed to match the taper of
the table, at least a little, so the ligature works right. I also find
that reeds work better when they match the dimensions of the facing of
the mouthpiece, and don't hang over the edge of the facing. Larry
Liberson, who once frequented this list (great chocolate cake recipe!)
and plays Eb clarinet for a living, suggested Steuer Bb reeds (they are
made for narrower German mpcs) for Eb, and they worked very well for me.
