A Baermann fingering for C above the staff

A while back there was a question about the Bettoney version of the
Baermann. This was quite a few months ago.
At that time I mentioned that the Bettoney edition had the translation
of the Baermann first book with it's description of the fingerings for
the Baermann system.
At that time I mentioned a fingering for C above the staff that could be
used on the Boehm system.

Since then I have adopted this fingering and have my pupils play it.
It comes in handy in certain leaps, like D on the fourth line to high C.

Here is the fingering:

This gives a very secure C and useful in many passages. One of them
notably when going from high D to one to tone below, high C. The slur
is fabulous. In a slow passage, a Godsend.
Can be used in the slow solo in the Rachmaninoff second Symphony.
There are many other numerous passages. One should try it and see
whether it works. So far it has worked on all the R13s that I have seen
since.

Good luck with this fingering, if you like it. By the way in the
transition from high D to C, the fingers have to be moved very
lightly. No banging.
