This is one of my favorite CD's. My understanding is that her
embellishments are of her own design - in the tradition of improvisatory
playing of the time period. The melodic changes only seem to occur on
repeated melodic passages of material that has already occurred. The
cadenza at the end of the first movement is not an ein gang - it is a
cadenza. However, her improvisatory ideas in the 2nd and 3rd movments
were indeed ein gangs - and yes, the ear can identify which are the proper
chords in the proper cadences in which to emply the use of an ein gang.
Dan Leeson has already posted regarding when and how though!

The tempo? I love it - the only drawback is that you have to have a
tongue like a snake to articulate the 16th notes without adding slurs.
But the work is very exciting at these faster tempi.
