Try the comparable plastic models by the other three major makers: the
Buffet B-12, Leblanc Vito, or Yamaha (YCL24?). Every makers instrument is a
little bit different and one of these may have just the feel that you are
looking for.

If you are interested in a pro line instrument, Buffet has their Greenline
series. This is a resin that uses grenadilla sawdust as a filler. Its
maintenance would be like that of a plastic horn not wood. Of course they
carry the corresponding professional horn price tag too. At this point in
time, these are the only pro models available in any type of plastic.
