I have been in auditions all day, and I regret not having had more time to
deal with the mouthpiece issue. However, I must apologize to Clark Fobes
and to Jim Pyne, two people whom I admire greatly in their work and
artistic approach to improvement of mouthpiece design - the apology is
genuine. I recognize, from both of their posts, that my intent in posting
initially was lost - perhaps in my inability to articulate what I was
trying to say, or in my lack of understanding of what each of you have been
saying through your own experiences. My reasons for posting have very
little to do with your products - rather, they were meant to answer
questions from others to help educate folks regarding the differences of
mouthpieces and what does or does not happen to them when they leave the
blank stage. I didn't do a very good job of that, and I am sorry for
having upset both professionals.

Please accept my retraction of information regarding mouthpieces from the
list.

Sincerely,
Roger Garrett
