My $0.02 on the Saxos sold as "house brand" by the Woodwind and
Brasswind--they are VERY variable. A buddy bought a curved soprano,
tenor (in blue lacquer) and baritone over Xmas. The sop is absolutely
wonderful, the tenor is just barely OK, the bari is quite respectable.
SO, I ordered two sops and two baris to try. The curved sops that I got
are pig food, absolutely awful horns--and then I play Russ', which
remains wonderful. The baris, one is wonderful and I am buying it
UNLESS I get a good deal on a new Selmer (WW&BW is overstocked with
Selmer Saxos); the other is so-so.

Be very careful, these are Yanagisawa knock-offs, so a GOOD one is very
fine, but a poor one is indeed poor.
