I'm a symphony, opera, ballet clarinetist in Miami, Fla. Although I now
play mostly soprano clarinet for the first 10 years of my career I was
principally a bass clarinetist. My instrument is a 1969 Selmer S33 (low C)
bass which has had undercutting in the upper tenon and inserts placed in
tone holes below G-1. My mouthpiece is A David Hite which I refaced to
slightly shorten and close the facing. I use Vandoren #3 or 3-1/2 reeds and
a Rovner ligature.-----Original Message-----
