At orchestra last night, the new music was passed out. We're going to play
the Mozart Requiem. Much to my chagrin, there are not clarinet parts--but
we do have parts for Basset Horn (in F).

I hate transposing--primarily because I do so little of it--and the clarinet
isn't going to go low enough. While I love my orchestra, I don't love it
enough to shell out 4-5 grand to buy a basset horn for one concert.

So--any ideas on where I could borrow/rent one for the next 3 weeks?
