I'm pretty happy with a Richard Hawkins mpc, Grand Concert 3 to 3 1/2s,
and a Rovner ligature on a 10G. The 10G is still a little "brighter"
than I'd like, though.

Don't know what would be best for you - you should probably go to a
convention where plenty of mouthpieces are available to try out, use a
mail order place to order a few mouthpieces at a time on approval, or
write to some of the makers who either post here or are listed at
http://www.sneezy.org/clarinet/Resources/Retail.html and see what they
have to offer.
