I believe I'm one of them there weirdos. I've actually played much more
bass clarinet than soprano clarinet over the years, and on both
instruments, I use #4 reeds from various manufacturers: Vandoren, Marca,
Olivieri, Zonda, Glotin, Bay, Buffet, Legere synthetic. I guess that's
what Roger meant by 'playing them evenly'.
