I agree, Ed, that list has been quiet for awhile. (There was a brief spurt
of responses after you posted your question about soprano mouthpieces about
a month ago.) A couple of years ago, I was subscribed to that list and two
other Internet e-mail lists for sax at the same time. The other two have
since "died" completely, and I've removed all traces from my electronic
address book. They were all relatively quiet compared to Klarinet.

A reasonable source for the definitive answer to your question would be the
list owner. According to my saved records (I try to save this type of info
about every list to which I subscribe), the owner of rccarter_saxophone is
Adrienne Welker <awelker@-----. Her last administrative post to the
list was last October. Remember that requests to subscribe to that list (or
to unsubscribe) are handled manually by the owner. If you write to her and
don't get a reply, we'll know that the owner has abandoned the list.

Also, a couple of years ago when the three informal sax lists were a bit
more active, I remember reading a post on one about yet another mailing
lists for saxophonists. I recall that subscriptions were controlled and
were allowed only to members of the North American Saxophone Alliance
(NASA). I wasn't (and am still not) a member, so I didn't save the
information. If that list still exists, perhaps it's more active and more
in line with what you would find useful.

Please let us know if you learn for sure what is happening.
