It will always be hard to compare. However, coming from a large,
competitive area doesn't mean as much as some you think - that kid from
North Dakota may be the best this year. There's a higher probability
that the larger states (or groupings, or schools, or districts, or ...)
will have stronger players after the first rounds of competition, but
there's no guarantee. Probability says the chances are that _you_ won't
win the lottery ... but someone else will.
