My sincere apologies - I snipped this paragraph and forgot the last
sentence which I had intended to comment on.
I don't view the tolerance issues as a problem that exists for Buffet.
Rather, I see it as a service to help provide an instrument that plays in
tolerance for each individual.
Rossi makes a clarinet and adjusts it to the individual. There really is
not much difference between him charging the 45% more for that instrument
than Buffet doing the adjustment after the fact. The end result is the
same.
