I am wanting to purchase a wide bore clarinet and have no idea which one is
"best" regarding intonation and construction - the two I have heard about
are by Howarth and Eaton - I also understand LeBlanc makes a wide bore.
Years ago when I was living in England I tried the 1010's, which I really
liked, but unfortunately didn't buy. My R13, after 25 years, seems to have
lost it's "zing" and plays very flat.
Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.
( I've been playing for about 30 years - now mostly chamber music and jazz.)
