I'm glad to hear that you're playing Howarth's also. When I posted my message
about my set of Howarths a few days ago, I did mention a couple of areas
where the pitch is not as good as I would like. However, it is still better
any any other clarinet I've ever played. Unlike Roger, I don't find any of
the pitch problems "severe". (I believe that is the word he used). I'm always
looking for clarinets that are better than the ones I have, & I just returned
3 Buffets & a Rossi yesterday (all A's). None of the Buffets are as good as
my Howarth in the intonation department. The Rossi is better than the Buffets
& I might end up buying it.

I didn't mean to begin comparing clarinets here. But I did want to make sure
that list members did not get the wrong impression from my recent post. Like
you, I am quite impressed with the Howarths.
