I think this trip could be done in either direction, depending on your
schedule before and after the festival. But, it probably wouldn't be
convenient or economical to fly to Ostend. You could easily fly to
Brussels and then take a train to Ostend. But, what I think I might do is
fly to Schipol airport at Amsterdam, a common port of entry for flights
from the US. Then, I would rent a car and drive to Brussels and on to
Ostend, then continuing to Paris. Amsterdam to Ostend would be an easy
one day drive if you wanted to do it in a hurry, as would Ostend to Paris.
But, I would recommend taking two or three days and seeing some sights
along the way. Then, you could leave your rental car in Paris, and take a
train back to Schipol airport.

Wow, just thinking about it makes me want to do this trip again!
