Hi. I have an update about my band director who is going to introduce
alternates. He and I got a chance to talk about it without the interruptions
of brain-dead morons. He said that he wouldn't have to resort to such a
policy if people would learn their music. He is quite right, but the
counterpoint that I made was that there were not going to be "99 Superheros"
(99 members in the band) on the field and not everyone would feel like part of
the group. He said the that he really wanted the band to have a chance at
greatness. He said that if I worked hard at the music and sent a little extra
time marching, that I would have a definite spot on the field and that since I
will be one of the most experienced members in my section that I should just
practice hard. He said that I could do it, and the 98 others could, too. All
we have to do is want to put forth our very best effort.
