I can't suggest an interview candidate, but I'd love to see a survey that
shows the overlap between math and music achievement in high schools. When
my daughter was inducted into her school's chapter of the math honor
society, I couldn't help but notice that an extremely high percentage of her
fellow inductees were also in the symphonic band with her.

Subject: musical/mathematical interview

One of my highschool's requirements for graduation is a senior project. For
our research paper portion of this project we have to use a personal
interview
as a source. I am investigating the connections between mathematics and
music,
and as a result, was wondering if anyone out there with credentials in
the two areas might be willing to be interviewed. Or, if anyone knows
someone
else that would be appropriate, information would greatly appreciated.
email
me privately if there are suggestons.

Also for the project portion of this endeavor I am composing a Clarinet
trio.
I was wondering what others thought of Encore, and how it stacks up against
other notation programs like Sibelius etc.

Thanks in advance,

Jennifer
