If you're interested in this subject, and want some directions to look
in, I suggest you go to:

http://www.atmos-dynamics.damtp.cam.ac.uk/people/mem/

and check out Michael McIntyre's paper called:

"Lucidity, hypercredulity and civilised existence, or, what has music
got to do with Quantum Mechanics?"

Mike wouldn't have time to do an interview, but he's certainly the most
equipped person in both these areas that I know, so you should find
something of value in his paper. Mike is an FRS, working at Cambridge
University on the mathematical modelling of the upper atmosphere.

He played the Berg violin concerto with the Cambridge University
Orchestra when I was an undergraduate there, and has published several
papers on violin and wind instrument acoustics. He's also quite an
accomplished composer.

The music/mathematics connection here is a rather 'deep' or abstract
one, which means that it doesn't involve many technicalities in either
subject.

FWIW, I think it's very important.
