I certainly agree with you, on this point and the rest of what you've
been saying. It may be extremely naive of me, probably just plain
stupid at my age, especially after the years of community work I've
done, but I do agree with many of my students who complain they would
like to be considered as Americans first and not divisively classified.
I'd like to think all most of us really want is to be respected as human
beings and allowed a chance to pursue life based on our own merits.
