Klarinet Archive - Posting 000207.txt from 1999/02

Several people have posted information about their less than satisfactory
experiences with Evette clarinets. I am wondering if the clarinets described
are in top-notch condition. My experience with Evettes has been nothing but
positive. Even the "sponsored by" models and the plastic Evettes made in West
Germany have a wonderful sound, good response, and accurate intonation (for
the most part) after they are brought into proper condition. My personal
favorites are the Academy Model and the Master Model but the "lesser" models
are nice instruments, too.
I am merely suggesting that before anyone disposes of their Evettes, a trip to
the local music shop for a "tune up" might be in order. You could actually
have a diamond in the rough.
